Like many creators, Iβve dealt with stalking that has threatened my well-being over the years. This instance was the most insidious, so Iβm now pursuing a restraining order.
Stalking is never okay. Donβt be afraid to take legal action to protect yourself.
without this funding, we could see the worst service cuts in HISTORY. think trains every hour, entire bus lines eliminated, and stations closed. so please, attend the rally and call Newsom to tell him - KEEP YOUR PROMISE, SAVE TRANSIT
can't attend the rally? CALL HIS OFFICE!! calling his office is super easy, and you can find info and a script here

flyer for the Emergency Rally to save Bay Area transit. 9 AM, Monday, September 8 at San Francisco Civic Center Plaza
TOMORROW, there's a rally in SF to tell Newsom - KEEP YOUR PROMISE, SAVE TRANSIT
while Gavin Newsom is busy trolling Trump, Bay Area transit is *about to collapse* because he refuses to sign the 750 million dollar loan he promised in July to keep BART/Caltrain/AC Transit/Muni afloat until 2027 - but we can still stop service cuts!!
"Rally for Transit in Santa Clara County" flyer. the rally takes place on Tuesday, July 29, 6pm-7pm, at the Santa Clara County Government Center, located at 70 W Hedding St, San Jose, CA. the event is organzied by Transbay Coalition, Friends of Caltrain, Seamless Bay Area, and SCC4Transit
July 29 is my birthday, so can y'all pleaseee come to the Santa Clara County transit funding rally?
if SCC doesn't join the 2026 regional funding measure, VTA, BART, and Caltrain will face severe service cuts. so let's tell SCC officials - SAVE TRANSIT, JOIN THE REGIONAL MEASURE!!
good work y'all!
thanks to everyone who called, the legislature is including $1.75 bil in no-interest loans for transit (incl 750 mil for the Bay). but there's still one more thing to do!
call Newsom's office and tell him to accept the 1.75 bil and SAVE TRANSIT!!

If you live in California, read this thread, and good luck. Those of us in Chicago & Illinois are facing a similar problem right now.
So hereβs where you can help - the California state budget is being finalized imminently. If you live in CA, call state representatives and tell them to support 2 billion dollars for statewide transit funding in the budget!

calling is super easy, takes <5 min!
Without state funding, transit systems will literally collapse, raising fares while cutting most service. BART alone is talking about cutting 90% of its service. (9/10)
...returned as strongly due to a variety of reasons. This leaves a huge hole in transit budgets, and they have to raise fares to compensate.
But even that isnβt enough, and many California transit systems are facing huge budget deficits. (8/10)
From March 2020 until ~2022 when transit ridership dropped, fed, state, and local governments stepped in to support to transit. But after 2022, they stopped. While transit ridership has largely recovered, with agencies consistently breaking records, fare revenue hasnβt... (7/10)
While fare reliance might seem efficient, it hurts the most vulnerable people who canβt afford high fares. And transit is a public service - do you expect roads to make a profit? (6/10)
Pre-Covid, Bay Area transit, especially BART and Caltrain, relied almost completely on fares to operate, nearly 80% of their revenue. Meanwhile, NYC was at 50%, Chicago at 41%, and DC at 25%. (5/10)
tbf $4 is still high! And BART isnβt alone, transit systems throughout the Bay Area have higher fares compared to their West Coast peers, especially Los Angeles. So why is Bay Area transit specifically expensive? The answer is defunding and neglect by state and local govts (4/10)
Implementation of airport surcharges can be debated later, but the normal fare from Oakland to San Francisco is $4, and all Bay Area transit systems offer discounts for senior, disabled, low income, and young riders. (3/10)
a Tweet from Katie Porter: "From Oakland to San Francisco for $12.65 in 35 minutes. And less than 3 minutes of waiting. Try transit!!" with an attached selfie of her riding BART
First of all, in the viral tweet, Katie Porter took BART from Oakland Airport to Downtown SF, and paid the $6 airport surcharge, plus the $3 Clipper Card issuing fee. Many cities charge airport surcharges, including NYC, Chicago, and Denver. (2/10)
Recently, thereβs been a lot of online discourse on the cost of Bay Area transit. So letβs talk about why transit in the Bay Area is so expensive to ride 𧡠(1/10)
Advocates have been saying this exact thing would happen for years now but we now have the data to confirm: these cars were never meant to drive more safely than humans. They were just supposed to make big tech more money.

i've updated my BART disruption map based on recent service changes and to be easier to understand!
were igloos ever used in 1.14/1.15 speed runs? seems like they could be useful, cheap cleric trades so you donβt have to spend as long getting wood for stick trades
Last Friday (5/9), a computer issue suspended all BART service from before 5am until after 9am. While service was restored before the end of the morning rush, the resulting traffic impacts were felt for the rest of the day, showing just how important BART is and why we need to protect its future 1/5
My amazing wonderful sweet talented girlfriend, @sdrx902.bsky.social took some stunning pictures of me :3
