Get to know more about how the EU is ensuring delivery of life-saving aid to countries affected by disasters, including Myanmar.Β With the launch of the EU HAB flights, critical supplies have been landing in Myanmar. Since 2nd April, 14 flights have arrived carrying over 708 tonnes of emergency aid.

The European Union continues to provide humanitarian assistance to earthquake-hit Myanmar. It has supported further flights to deliver 70.000 life saving relief items, which will be dispatched through @iom.int and its partners to the communities most in need.

In light of recent events, the EU would like to express our solidarity and sorrow for those who will not be able to welcome the new year with their loved ones this Thingyan.
Today we received in Yangon the 2nd humanitarian plane carrying 55 tonnes of emergency supplies, including shelter, medical material, & other critical items to help people in need.
All will be distributed by Fondazione CESVI to the affected areas based on needs.

The EU is also funding the Multi-Stakeholder Alliance for Decent Employment in the Myanmar Apparel Industry (MADE in Myanmar) implemented by Sequa in cooperation with the European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar.
Empowering women to lead climate resilience initiatives in their communities is among the EUβs priorities to #AccelerateAction for women. For this purpose, we are partnering with UN-Habitat in Myanmar to improve the resilience of vulnerable local communities facing the impacts of climate change.
