It’s 2026. We really should all be questioning anthology projects with zero women in them. Not boosting them.

Considering applying for a city arts grant purely to force a deadline on myself to finish this poetry chapbook I've been poking at for a while, but also to have the funds to hire my fav local drag artists for funsies since it needs to have some sort of public performance component.

Spent the day at a farm animal sanctuary in Sonoma to celebrate @jesslynnwent.bsky.social 's birthday. Totally recommend booking a tour if you're in the area. I grew up in 4H country, but I've been in the city 20 years now. Still a delight to pet sheep and chickens and cows. www.charliesacres.org

I've got 3 book launches and four conferences to wrangle in the next couple months, and on the surface that seems easy breezy except that we don't function like a normal publisher so I don't even have actual pub dates just vibes on the two books that I'm not managing production on. lolsob.

Look, I'm not a proponent of "You MUST belong to group X to write about/in the voice of a member of group X."

However, I am a HUGE proponent of "But don't be a fucking disrespectful dickbag about it! Understand systems of power! And intersectionality! And do your damn homework! For fuck sake!!!" 🤗

I want to see the energy I saw when artists' got pissed about Kickstarter doing NFT shit to extend to this situation, and it's pretty wild that it hasn't happened yet.
