I just want to add here that most of what childhood transitions consist of is social. So the “problem” Ben is trying to state here would be solved by society just chilling the fuck out and letting kids explore their gender identity for a bit to see how they feel.

A step further, if you look around at the world today and think "kids don't get enough messaging that being trans is bad and wrong and something they should hope to avoid," you're a stupid person whose opinion wouldn't be published in a major media outlet if the "problem" you're describing existed.
