Here's a gloomy thing. I've been crunching away at a mailout to comics retailers about the pending release of the TVSK tpb. Spent the past 5 years putting together a huge list of confirmed contact details for comic stores from various sources.
Something like 1 in 4 of them is now a dead email.

One of the most startling, soul-enrichingly beautiful books in the English language. Little by way of story, it's essentially one man's diary of his daily winter walks. Yet it crumples the heart, dizzies with its phrasing. Nature, in all its serenity and spite, is sublimated; made godlessly holy.
Love this little sequence. Vanesa Del Rey committing iticide.
THE VOICE SAID KILL, collected vol drops March 25th.

Ta!
What's this in relation to, Mark? Do you have a link?
Wait- where's this coming from?
Biting my tongue so very hard today. Basic human sympathy wrestling with deep political and social disgust.
Good news - it's the first 30 pages of THE VOICE SAID KILL from @sispurrier.bsky.social & friends - a fantastic comic!

your occasional reminder that
Comics retailing legend Greg Ketter standing up to ICE in Minneapolis. Yes, that's tear gas. He's 70 years old.
I'd forgotten there exists in script form an anthology of Lovecraftia comics written by Alan Moore, Garth Ennis, Si Spurrier, Kieron Gillen, et al, with some fully drawn and others in various visualization stages. Unpublished.

Exciting new things...
Thank you for the direct recommendation at tbubs @sispurrier.bsky.social. It's a winner!
Not at all what I expected, but thoughtful, deep, and relatable as always, often funny, and all the right kinds of dark.
Proof that you can go big, but it's the small personal stakes and twists that matter...
Artwork of a Stegosaurus gleefully bounding after a monarch butterfly. The Stegosaurus has orange and black patterning that matches the butterfly and the plates on its back look like monarch wings.
"Butterfly Effect" is by far my favorite piece I've ever drawn. I know I keep sharing it, but I just hope it brings joy when people see it.
(Plus I don't have a whole lot of new art to share.)

Honestly, I would've assumed "teen" rather than "tine" myself -- it feels more honestly Liverpudlian -- but Mr Moore has been quite unequivocal about it in the past, and he kinda gets to choose.
Constantine, rhymes with Swine. Sorry!
Hahaha!
Had a chance to meet Mr. Spurrier last year and what a gent. Also met the super talented designer on the book @tinymaster.bsky.social.
Love how he uses Bindings. Love The Voice Said Kill.
Overhearing gym-bros boasting in the locker room is the most challenging time for a natural-born pedant.
Lads, if picture 1 is a bicep then picture 2 is a triceratop.
I read this as it came out monthly, excellent storytelling with a feeling of building suspense and a Lovecraftian horror.
