@rholmes.bsky.social: I have found Polanski's followers to be just as obnoxious as Farage's condescending and abusive when challenged. Neither offer sensible solutions and just resort to insults. It is a personality cult. @schmarriorchode69.bsky.social: your mum

It is useful, and prudent, to make a distinction between vaccine hesitancy and vaccine resistance. For example, there are many reasons why certain racialized and minoritized communities might hold onto questions about vaccines because of their histories with the state and colonization.../

Yes. There's a degree to which disappointment and anger can be part of the story without having to shove a camera in individual fans' faces. The zoomed out images of the exodus before half time, for example, got the point across more than finding a "funny looking sad guy".
I have an edited primary source collection coming out on disability and deformity in c19th Britain. My hope is that you find it useful for teaching (apologies for the abstract, I did not write it! and the cost) #histmed #dishist www.routledge.com/Physical-Dis...
The MP who had a 15 year old girlfriend and got kicked out of The Moderates has found a new party.
But he'll only be their MP for a couple of weeks, because he won't be on their election list...

really tired of conversations about how we need to get people to spend more time offline that don't acknowledge that one of the reasons people ARE online is their access needs aren't being met in physical spaces. This is especially true for queer people and disabled people.
I love how Ipsos show the margin of error on their charts. Should be industry standard!
And if you looked 100 years earlier, you'd find very similar arguments, voiced in the slightly less medical, more moral, dialect of the age...

I have a new OA article out on the early history of Irish young peopleβs anti-abortion group Youth Defence. Itβs part of a special issue by Agata Ignaciuk and Sylwia Kuzma-Markowska on anti-abortion activism in Europe. Thanks to reviewers and the RSE for funding.

Is this doubled being in a city that, despite its many positives, hasn't really produced an internationally famous thing since Ozzy Osborne and Simon Le Bon, and therefore can't stop trying to exploit it?

Election poster for Radikale. A large B (their symbol on the ballot paper) with the caption "a plan is needed" ("Der er brug for en plan").
"A plan is needed."
No confirmation, as yet, if Radikale has it.

He won't be able to if the Democrats write a strongly worded letter, though?
My neighbour told me Kuwaiti air defence keeps eating his F-15s so I asked how many F-15s he had and he told me he just goes and gets another F-15 so I said it sounds like he's just feeding F-15s to Kuwaiti air defence and then his daughter started crying

Oof. I just read your post in the most uncharitable, pedantic way possible, and I gotta tell ya: it's not looking good for you.
This is how it works here (Denmark) with a hierarchy of pedestrians first, then bikes, then cars.
So... the context was that some parties were proposing free sanitary products for menstruation, and he, without shame, asked if trousers should be provided at service stations in case he shat himself...
The main parties, in order of the number of seats they would get based on the last opinion polls of February. Socialdemokraterne - Labour - 37 seats SF - Green - 25 seats Liberal Alliance - Libertarian edge lords - 18 seats Venstre - Liberal Democrats, but electable - 16 seats Danmarksdemokraterne - Reform, but with a woman - 15 seats Dansk Folkeparti - Reform, but with a guy with a Germa name - 14 seats Enhedslisten - Continuity Communist - 13 seats Konservative - Tory - 10 seats Moderaterne - Change UK, but Danish - 10 seats Radikale - Liberals, but the cool dad who's ok with gay stuf - 7 seats Borgernes Parti - Reform, but with a guy who asked in parliament what he could do if he shat himself - 5 seats Alternativet - Greens, but even less serious - 5 seats
First, a guide to the parties. This is the polling done at the end of February. I have very helpfully and accurately labelled them as they would be known under the UK system.
(There are also two seats each for the Faroe Islands and Greenland.)
