iOS und MS-DOS sind Systeme. Ein Haus ist auch ein System. Das planetare Ökosystem, eine Stadt, Fabrik, Maschine, Familie. Kann man alles als Systeme betrachten. Systemfehler inklusive.

Grobes Gesamtfazit: Das eine ist dem anderen nicht im Sinne einer Rangordnung überlegen. Wer eine solche falsche Hierarchie erschafft, ist das laut ihm kulturell verhägnisvoll.

Ich für meinen Teil mach glücklicherweise genug in der analogen, echten Welt, als Ausgleich zur digitalen, virtuellen.

Ich hab mir vor ner Weile das Buch "analog und digital" (erster Band, 1991) von Otl Aicher (dem einflussreichen deutschen Grafik-Designer) zugelegt und les es gelegentlich.

Geht wie der Titel schon sagt um Zusammenhänge zwischen analogen/konkreten Dingen, sowie digitalen/abstrakten.

Echt erschreckend...

Some quintessential things from writing essays in school do stay true after all. They taught us this either for writing prose or for journalism. Storytelling in any case. Good principles that work for designs as well.

Dataism turning into yet another shitty -ism.

Perhaps a sign that this industry is so fucked up, people that manage to "survive" in it for a couple years have gone through similar levels of stress and whatnot as someone on a battlefield.

Perhaps I'm exxagerating a bit, but this word used in that context has always irked me.

You ever think about how it's kinda fucked up that we call people who've been in the video game industry for a while (or some other industry) "veterans"?

As in, the same word we use for war or military veterans...

Well well well. Was man so alles in einer queeren Bücherei findet...

Quick drawing I did yesterday

Took me like 5 minutes. This is where years of practice gets you. No computer. I did this while walking around the room.

The only reference I used for the pose was a figurine on a shelf. I added the bird, bow and background.

I never went to any fancy art school.

Oder weshalb viele Streamer:innen Back-Seat-Gaming nicht mögen (wenn Zuseher:innen einem die Lösungen im Chat verraten). Macht das Erfahrungs-Erlebnis zunichte. Der Moment in dem es für einem im eigenen Hirn "Klick" macht, der "Aha!" Moment, wird einem genommen.

Erklärt beispielsweise auch, wieso Leute es generell nicht ausstehen können, wenn man ihnen irgendwas aus einem Film spoilert. Es ruiniert einem die Möglichkeit es selbst zum ersten Mal zu erleben. Und man kann diese Möglichkeit beinahe unmöglich für sich selbst wieder herstellen.

Wenn alles davon gänzlich eindeutig wäre und keine eigene menschliche Interpretation mehr zu ließe, dann verlieren sie ihren ganzen Sinn. Einen Film zu sehen dessen Ende man schon kennt ist ähnlich langweilig wie ein Rätsel in einem Spiel zu lösen dessen Lösung man schon kennt.
