I think this is a category (2) for the incredibly lyrical piano playing and Justinβs sui generis falsetto. I honestly forget what the original sounded like and I had to go back and give it a listen.

I think that βgoodβ cover songs are either (1) 95% faithful reproductions of the original, with a little extra finesse by the cover artist, or (2) radical reinterpretations, that are almost unrecognizable from the source material
