On another note, I just walked my first cosplay contest at Central Alberta Nerd Expo! Currently waiting for judges before the award ceremony. It has been a great experience :3

If its a stairway to heaven and a highway to hell, im not sorry to say that theres no way my crippled ass is getting up those stairs, you'll find me rolling my wheelchair down the highway like a rollercoaster, thanks.
Stim* not still. My autocorrect hates neurodivergent terms
Anyone else still by making biscuits like a cat?
Once, my dog went snakey at a specific wall in my old townhouse complex when I took her for a walk around it... We took a different route from then on.
The scientific answer to "is water wet?" is Yes. Water/H2O molecules are magnetic, which makes them attach to each other. By definition something being "wet" is when H2O molecules are attached it, so by definition water is, in fact, wet.
The fact that i was so pissed off from being asked "is water wet?" when I was younger that I researched the scientific answer should've given me my autism diagnosis.
Continue reading if you care about the scientific answer.
im 20 years old and still have like only 5% understanding of what I want to do with my life

I love seeing posts like this. Not only is it a great form of protest, but it's a great form of education. I'd barely heard of the situation until seeing this and googling what was going on, despite my attempts at keeping informed as a Canadian neighbour to the US.
My 82-year-old momβs choir gave a Pride-themed concert today that said No Kings, only Queens!
No bc why was it so scary
Its okay if it takes a while for you to do something. If your dirty dishes were on the counter for a month. If your disability and health (mental or physical) need a break, that is okay. Your to-do list doesn't need to be emptied every day.
cringe behaviour. anyways support trans artists this pride month and forever ππΈπ€
Guys do you think if you work at apple, youre contractually obligated to only ever use apple devices? Like if they catch you with an android phone, you're fired?
Idk random thoughts
Most relatable thing ive ever seen
I think that's it for now, I'm sure id have more points if I wasnt so tired lmao
Feel free to add your own examples or thoughts on this! Ive never seen someone talk about the political implications of this movie and I think there's a lot so id love to discuss.
The fact that most of the master builders are artists, monsters, and generally outcastes groups. Ik basketballers and Abraham Lincoln are in there but still.
The fact that the whole movie is a metaphor for a son and dads relationship, aka people vs authority
The fact everything was walled off and separated (again by Lord Business).
"I'm dark and brooding too- guys look a rainbow!" -Emmet trying to fit in and immediately his true self showed
Background characters looked the happiest in Cloud Coocoo Land, where Unikitty says there's "no government"
Other quotes and examples I remember that I think apply here:
"He's not, like, normal like us."
"I just want to kake things the way they should be"
Lord Business is willing to kill Emmet and the master builders to get his perfect world. He literally erased Good Cop to get his way.
Idk just the whole "octan makes great stuff! ... All history books, voting machines" made me think about how a lot of American schools have extremely biased school books, Canada too but not as much.
Emmet would be like a queer kid who was raised in a Catholic environment and made to believe his natural behaviours were wrong, forcing him to behave like everyone else, until he meets the other queer kidd and sees how happy and cool they are, changing his world view and eventually becoming himself.
President Business would represent conservatives and how the government is trying to force everyone who is "different" away and into hiding (just like Lord Business tried using the Kragle to freeze everyone into the perfect world)
It isnt until he proves he is competent and helps the others that he is taken serously.
Many know the movie's moral is roughly "being unique is good" or "dont hate others for being different" and IMO you could use the movie as a political parallel for how minorities are being treated.
Emmet, a guy that is trying to fit into the mold an was indoctrinated by society like most others, is still disliked or neutral with the everyone in his life, even those he considered his best friends. Once he gets the piece, hes beloved by the master builders, but it's still only superficial.
I think people slept on the political indications of The Lego Movie: A thread.
This wasn't proofread and it's midnight so it might just be uncoordinated but I think I make good points
I believe in the house hippo
