8. Resident Evil Requiem
Simply put, a modern horror masterpiece. A combination of everything that makes this series great. They have perfected the gameplay of survival horror and action. The nostalgia and callbacks to earlier games are done very well. It’s currently my favourite game of the year.

Been following a small streamer until I found out they constantly watch that idiot (which explains a lot of the brain rot takes). Just a big hell nah and I’m out of that community.

Highly recommend this game if you haven’t played it, one of the best games that came out in 2025. Phenomenal RPG made with love and care.

I remember the first time I got a proper graphic card to play this game, was going to do a performance test, but I just sit there and admired the landscape for an hour.

My heart says Blue Prince but this is so well deserved too, congrats! 🥳

These 4, I literally can’t play them for the *first time* ever again unless I lose my memory somehow. 😭

7. Resident Evil Village
If RE7 was a homage paid to the earlier games, I feel like this one was a great call back to RE4: You have the castle, the merchant and just generally the pace and vibe of the game. Really well made survival horror mixed with some action gun plays, and an emotional ending.

I literally just finished this an hour ago for the first time 🥳, amazing game.

6. Resident Evil 7
Now this is the type of RE game I love, they fully returned to the survival horror root, and what an excellent return it was. The new game engine also made everything very immersive and scary. I especially love the call backs & homage paid to the earlier games.

That being said, I quite liked the story, I liked that we got to see more of Leon, Ada and Sherry’s adventures.
On to Resident Evil 7 tomorrow! 🙌

5. Resident Evil 6
I've never given a game 1/10, But I think this might be the first. It tried so much to be a blockbuster action movie but failed exceptionally hard. So much overused screen shakes, weird camera motion, explosions and bright lights, it literally gave me a headache while playing lol.

I’m (slowly) playing through Halls of Torment which is a similar game. I like it more than Vampire Survivors due to it being inspired by Diablo.
The genre is alright in my opinion, definitely not my go-to, but can kill some times.

I’m calibrating my excitement.

It’s a reboot so I’d say you don’t necessarily need to play the previous games. From what I have seen it’s staying true to what the series represents.

Just caught up with the Xbox showcase, I’m beyond excited for the new Fable, might do a replay of the original some time this year!

Spent an hour troubleshooting Resident Evil 6, it simply would not launch. Finally got it to work and the game started with some godawful QTEs, off to a great start. 😂

4. Resident Evil 5
This game has terrible balance around solo play, I died many times because Sheva was blocking my way, or she did not dodge an enemy attack. I'd say this is an okay action game, but not a great Resident Evil game, so I treated it as a mindless action movie and had my share of fun.
