You can take a CRT and turn it into a simple visualizer with a project like this.

Not trans but my spouse is. I also don’t know why people do this. My cousin is trans as well with very conservative yet somewhat supportive parents and her mom is always doing that at family events.

I like your view. The people faking it know what they’re doing. In the case of technical shredders I’m skeptical with miming to the camera if I’ve never heard them play live.

Totally agree with all your takes. With social media I understand the appeal of not wanting room noise in the recording but that’s why knowing some audio basics comes in clutch.
