This is a Baby Bison guitar designed by Jim Burns and made by Baldwin/Burns of England in 1965. The guitar features a solid sycamore body, a black finish, two black plastic guardplates with white edges, one on the upper bass horn with the Baldwin logo on it and the other on the lower treble bout on which the knobs and pickup selection switch are mounted. It also has the patented, metal, Rezo-tube whammy tailpiece, an adjustable metal bar bridge, two metal strap pins, one single coil pickup and one double coilstack pickup of which each coil is capable of working separate or together. It is said that Jim Burns was the first to utilize the two coils of a humbucker separately or combined. This Baby Bison is in good shape for a guitar that is about sixty+ years old and it is 100% original. This was Jim Burns’ last design for the Burns company. Burns guitars were made famous by The Shadows which included Cliff Richards and Hank Marvin. The company went through many hands over the years and still produces today as Burns of London. Baldwin (the piano company) bought Ormston Burns Ltd. in 1965 for approximately $380,000 after failing to win Fender from CBS. James Ormston Burns took the offer to pay off the company debt. He stayed with Baldwin through 1966 and then moved on to other endeavors. With its great fast action and terrific tone, this guitar plays like a dream. It includes an original hardshell case. BURNS: FLYTE RHAPSODY - made circa 2004-2005

Burns Flyte - Rhapsody: 2 pickup, solid body, electric guitar, retro 1970's style. This is a virtually brand new Burns model Flyte Rhapsody single-cutaway, solid body, electric guitar. It's in excellent condition and sounds amazing. It has almost no wear here. All the electronics work perfectly and the neck is straight. It has a Floyd Rose Tremolo system, Burns humbucking pickups, a bolt-on neck, coil tap for the bridge pickup, 22 frets, and an alder body. The guitar was made in Korea.

It's got a heavy rock sound and is a modern day version of the 1974 Burns Flyte which was inspired by the Concorde Jet. Marc Bolan from T-Rex used a Flyte back in the wild days of Glam Rock. The guitar includes a hard shell Ibanez case that's in excellent shape except one corner has a dent (the guitar was not in it when it happened.) Description from VintageSilvertones.com

Thank you very much JJ. I will give them all a good listen later when I'm suitably relaxed. It's very kind of you to spread your knowledge. This is what I hoped Bluesky whould be about. People helping one another and sharing. Thanks friend! ✌️☮️🕊️🎸

Yeah JJ, if you could give me a list of bands to check out that would be great. I'm stuck in a Bebop/Blues/Free Jazz bubble and could use some fresh ideas lol. Not joking though it's always good to get new perpectives from other people ✌️

'kind of'. And why did Bluesky think that needed an adult warning?

I'm out of my element with this kind of music JJ. I know nothing about it lol. I dig this king of mininmalism and Steve Reich but the rest I'm pretty lost with! ✌️

The #Hartleaks are very important because it shows why so little progress has been made on COVID.

A beautiful day for a Spring walk. I saw a Peacock butterfly this afternoon.

A great stone dolmen in a grassy mound

The week hasn't really started without #TombTuesday 🥳💀

Here is the magnificent Arthur's Stone Neolithic tomb above Dorstone in Herefordshire before the more recent excavations began.

This important tomb once sat at the heart of a prehistoric monument complex

Pure conjecture on my part, but I believe the number to being much higher. Half of the people I know seem to be far sicker than before COVID hit and there doesn't seem to be one kind of long COVID. It seems to be capable of ruining any part of your constitution, mental or physical. IMO
