#Erin continues to quickly move west but, for now, is staying disorganized. This will change over the coming days and the storm is still forecast to become a major #hurricane. Confidence is increasing on a turn to the north far away from the southeast U.S.

A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain are likely across our viewing area Tuesday night into Wednesday. Generally inland SE GA will receive more snow, with greater ice accumulations possible near the FL/GA border region, transitioning to a cold rain SE of Jax.
A rare Winter Storm Warning has been issued beginning Tuesday afternoon across much of our area. Accumulating snow and ice are likely across southeast GA and much of inland NE FL into Wednesday morning.
After widespread rain this weekend, temperatures drop sharply by Monday morning. Then focus shifts to an expected winter storm across parts of the deep south. Some frozen precip. is possible across part of our area, most likely SE GA and far N FL late Tue./Wed.
Wet today. In fact, the most rain at Jax International Airport since September 12, 2024!
Cold feels like temperatures near/before sunrise Thursday in the lower-middle 20s. Some isolated upper teens possible in SE GA. Actual temperatures 26-34°F areawide.
Another sub-freezing start expected Wednesday morning for many. Several more of these on the way in the extended forecast.
Following the passage of a cold front, temperatures will drop sharply tonight into the low 30s, but lingering wind will make it feel more like the middle 20s area-wide. Stay warm!
