But I’m talking about 0,5db tweaks, so the artifacts left in the unmixed stem are almost irrelevant.
Nowadays is very frequent for me to receive mixes done from perfect amateurs, so this tool for these minor adjustments bring the final master into a higher level.

I use Spectralsyers as an alternative to RX. Sometimes it works better, even for simple things.
I also use the unmix function in extreme cases, just to tweak the voice up/down a bit, or a snare or even the whole drum kit.
It’s a very useful tool that has been helping me a lot in extreme situations.

About this year’s (audio mastering tools) Black Friday, what interesting deals did you get (so far)?

I purchased Relab’s “Maselec Mea-2”, Tone Projects’ “Michelangelo”, Softube’s “Curve Bender” and upgraded to “Spectralayers 11”.

Note that this was the whole year’s studio investment in new tools.🙂
