Every night with the astro
We're doing a border on the inside, and then installing the same tile but with a different type of pattern. Ideally we'd like to have some space to move around while it sets
Carved another cherry spatula
We set all the tile around the perimeter of this room
Hickory is pretty tough to carve. I'm glad I got myself a good drawknife for this work
Drawkife work on some hickory
In the same breadth is was incredible to suggest greenland was something sacred to the EU, but the world's oldest civilization wasn't
Remembering the leaked texts from Macron to Trump where he said he was cool with regime change in Iran, lol
Carved this cherry spatula and I am quite proud of it
The bark on this maple log quite literally popped right off
Large knot aside, this piece wasn't going to be ideal for large handles as it had this huge crack on the other side. 0-3 with the hickory is got from the park last year...
Reading the bark is important, as it can show you any abnormalities in the wood. In this case the bark moved around a huge knot running through this piece of hickory
Hey bud, I'm not gonna get mad, but ya can't lay on top of the compost
Decided to grind and hone the iron on this infill plane. Got it all the way up to 8000 grit on the whetstones and thats where I'll leave it
Very neat read
(I'm having a new one made)
Milled some pine and and cut some hickory for an axe handle
Came with an incredibly detailed instruction manual
Time to retire this sign
Bought myself a Lie Nielson spokeshave
Bought myself some cool books
Made some adjustments to my shave horse and ended up making this cast iron spatula out of some hickory
This is where we'll be working this week
Big tile delivery
Cleaned up this stanley liberty bell plane. Didn't feel like going crazy with repainting it, I just decided to take the rust off and leave it there
The after pics. Honed the iron and it was ready to go. I gave it a good coating of Howard's restore wax and cleaned up some of the dirt
J. Pearce no. 109, barely needed any work, but here is the before pics.
I've been good on money for the moment and it would have been incredibly cool, but not worth it afterwards for any other aspect other than a wall piece
Bought this really sick simonds saw for twenty five bucks and also saw this J. Pearce 109 that was in perfect condition and also purchased it
$185 I believe?
