I would also advise questions of "did I do proper exercise" and "am I eating well today" (i do 5-10 pushups whenever I'm feeling bad about my aim specifically and that works way more often then you think in terms of improvement, probably bc it gives my wrists a workout)

(Realistically the answer is something to the tune of "different cultures/age groups/sub cultures having different values" but it is an interesting topic to think about, at least)

Theres also lots of tension between the more... nebulous circles that people seem to be 50/50 on either wholeheartedly rejecting as valid or wholesale adopting as legitimate (iykyk I'm not wholly sure if even mentioning the names of the groups I'm referring to is appropriate on this social)

There are people who would be upset/weirded out by therians like us meerly existing (also transmeds but thats another can of worms)

Its really obvious when circles are like that but hard to avoid bc like, how do you screen for that in advance

Its kinda insane but also not super surprising since theres not a strong central identity to coalesce around that you get a bunch of smaller in-groups and sterotypes

I can barely tolerate other fur groups for this exact reason, vastly prefer to stay "in my own circle"

I never iunderstood the "post covid puritan furry" stereotype until my gf convinced me to use tiktok and half the furry posts on that shit ass app are 15y/os with Boykisser pfps and ✝️ in their username saying "HOT TAKE: Furry N*ughty Art is ruining the fandom" with 600K likes

I've made the decision to step away from my leadership position at Splatoon Stronghold.

I will continue to do interviews, manage the Splatoon Community Census, and promote the scene and the many benefits of being part of it.

I believe that this is the path that best enables me to do this.
