Em comunicado divulgado nas redes sociais, o perfil oficial de Frei destacou a convicção de que o frade “já está junto de Deus, olhando e intercedendo por todos nós”. Os atos de despedida começaram ainda nesta terça-feira, no próprio Assentamento Conquista da Fronteira, e seguem no Salão Paroquial de Candiota, onde será celebrada uma missa às 19h pelo bispo Dom Frei Cleonir Dal Bosco. Na quarta-feira, as despedidas continuam no Convento São Boaventura, no distrito de Daltro Filho, em Imigrante, com sepultamento previsto para as 16h no cemitério dos freis, no próprio convento.
