I often wake up with a song stuck in my head that I haven’t heard in many, many years. Today it was this one. I really loved this album when it came out 36 (!!!!) years ago

Pretty sure this is real but it would be so funny if it was a katie notopoulos bit
In a situation where the oil trade through Hormuz is blocked, the people who imported that oil will not simply start competing for other sources of oil, including the ones *you* rely on, out of a sense of gentlemanly courtesy. They will probably just choose to walk and bike more, as a favor to you.
You can put anything in your dishwasher that has the physical dimensions to fit inside. If you turn the dishwasher on with it inside, you might ruin the thing, but that’s a different question than CAN you put it in the dishwasher

I am allergic to the TB test. I inherited it from my dad, who has the same thing. When I was a kid, the health department made my mom give me antibiotics for A YEAR b/c they didn’t believe I didn’t have TB.
I’ve tested positive for tuberculosis my whole life
I keep telling people, I don't have a dog, I have an alien from Planet Greyhound who is observing humans on Earth, to see if our planet is worth taking over. Max, my Greyhound doesn't behave like any other dog I've known.
This is fine. Everything is fine

When Bluesky was down today I went back to Twitter and was punched in the face by the stench of abandoned aquarium. Milo Yiannopoulos, who I honestly thought was dead, stanning Hillary Clinton. Dem flaks earnestly retweeting Nick Fuentes. It’s time to cordon off anyone left and introduce alligators.

The ChatGPT guess that this unearthed bathroom wallpaper was original to our house (built in 1921) was surprisingly compelling! It’s an Arts & Crafts house, and this info is accurate based on my amateur knowledge about design of that period. #SanFrancisco
Oh wow, how cool! It does look reddish like cedar.
Looks like cedar lath, in which case there’s a decent chance it came from here—the site of the old Port Blakely mill, down the road from my house, which hit a boom (“the largest sawmill in the world,” allegedly) shipping lumber to SF in the decades after the quake.
