@mrjamesob.bsky.social I realised I have ADHD, by seeing my 14 yr son struggle at school. I struggled myself, and with work, unless I was really interested. I need deadlines to motivate me. I am an excellent problem solver and strategist. But it’s a daily struggle.

The core of the problem rising from police cuts to community policing, refunding of youth clubs as a safe refuge, underinvestment in mentor programs, and the rise of social media

Social media algorithms are also easily manipulated: Trump and Britain leaving the EU are two examples. Steve Bannon came from the far right, and used his knowledge and experience I’d successfully spreading and building hate, to get Trump elected in 2016.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social the content shared and promoted by the algorithms & machine learning of social media, is to bring in the most revenue, is often the most polarising, hate fuelled and extreme misinformation. If peoples views, actions and votes are influenced this way, democracy is broken.

Today’s games have, apart from streaming, the frustration of down load times. In the old days it was having to study a gigantic manual before you could play.

That’s a generalisation. Some AI is exactly that, but AI, like any technology can be used for good or bad, depending on how it is used?

Well that’s the AI I work in anyway.
Faster and better insights to drive more informed development decisions in video games.
As far as the problem with global warming you need to consider the unsustainable consumerism, greed and power that the US has delivers to the world post WW2
