Some art today, not bad. Tried using less pressure-sensitive brush so I can focus more on doing the lines, weight is hard anyway T-T

I wish I would be able to draw faster but my brain slows me down with its stuped thoughts. I want to make an animation, but It doesn't want me to make it.
And also a lil bit of the process, my forms and interaction between objects still suck
After a month of struggling to finish this drawing I present to you a polydactily maine coon neko grill with her little companion.
#art, #illustration
Thank you.. No, I don't.
I have little experience in animation, but i've improved in drawing over the last two years of actually trying to learn so it helped a lot but not much. Watched some videos on animation too..
Also forgot to show a very important picture of a frame I thought held some humorous potential(what i just said...)
Someday when I'll figure out this character I'll do char sheets for fullsize, chibi, and tiny chibi(yea, so I call something that is basically an artstyle "chibi", and then call a chibi a "tiny chibi" xDDD)
But, this animation features a chibi version, why? I'm afraid of complexity swallowing me whole. So I made this extremely simplified version of the chibi to just test the waters of some animation and compositing.
This cat character, is actually a character(HOLY SHEEEET O-o) I made when i was fifteen, hence the lil accessories on her hair, that are supposed to be roman numbers.
The very rough, first stage. The most fucked up timing, cute.
Before commiting to do this animation i had already done lil thumbnails for other of this kind but a a bit more complex, but i dumped it cuz i was afraid my skills were much lower than my expectations.
This is like genga, but i probably did it wrong.
Pls don't look at the timing charts... I liked this process though, when you draw and then play bits of it and it starts moving more and more smooth =33
Also posting different stages of this lil animation, could've done like many people do, like post wips first then finished stuff, but i would do it if i was in the process still but sure i will finish it(wanted to dump this a couple of times but persisted, and im happy).
I also failed on doing the compositing first try cuz i couldn't figure out combination of nodes to do an effect what i wanted(mainly blur on hair), luckily i found an addon "Layer Comp", that added layers and stuff like after effects, but most importantly EFFECTS!!!1
Behold the failed first try...
and i don't even have the worst computer in the world, it's capable. Idk, i did the compositing by adding all the frames as image sequence in compositor and compositing them, very fast lol.
Took way to long to composite it because i tried to do some stuff i seen on yt about compositing anime in after effects(which i don't have nor want), in blender.
I tried finding anything to help with immense load on my cpu and blender eating my ram while i was trying to use the sequencer, but...
Tried to make an animation, took me idk.. about two weeks, considering some troubles with electicity.
Animated in Krita, Composited in Blender. I like it though, but the movements a bit stiff even to me, so next time i'll try to pay more attention(im lazy as hell).
I hate that I chickened out of drawing more bold shadows on the body.. I was like "well we started drawing this little detail so we will draw details from now! Eh? Big shapes first?.. But the details! The details must be good!"
Lineart and sketch. I drew anatomy a bit to detailed for it to be completely covered =/
Also struggled on lineart cause I forgor what size of brush and how to do the strokes.......
Simple artwork to start this year =D And a bit of mistakes here and there..
I like this cel-shaded look, but on the next one i'll probably try something more complex and detailed. Well actually this drawing is more of a little try to draw folds of this kind of dress i found on pinterest.
I like this app a little, i kno it's like twitter/x but i never had twitter/x account, and judging by recent news from artists i follow im glad i never did ;-;
I started to use social media for showing stuff only a year ago, on ig. Could've started earlier but this stuff is a bit frightening.
one of very few illustrations i made. Posted it on ig a couple months ago. I probably need to put links on here and ig to "connect" my bsky n ig.
and this ones too, still have a lot to learn, like for example, patience.
some of stuff i did to try and understand perspective
these aren't original, i drew them from references, that's a problem too.. should try doing my poses from imagination sometime
some recent tries at drawing poses without drooling over them like a zombie =D
*player underestimated the fluff attack and dissapeared from the surface of the Earth*
He looks like a perfect speech bubble
