It's Friday and my new song "Create an Oasis" is streaming everywhere. It's about bugs, Fallout: New Vegas, and the first person you date after the worst breakup of your life. I hope you all enjoy!!

I'm like 10 hours in and JUST got my first health upgrade lol. I don't mind dying to bosses at all really but the platforming feels way overtuned. you can mess up like 3 times and then dedge. at least on controller/joycons it is not a good time for me
agree with all this. I don't really mind them going sicko mode on the difficulty, but it does really feel like the target audience is people who already love HK and need more. even the story seems to rely on you already thinking Hornet is very interesting, like I can't really tell what the hook is
I'm having fun but there are some weirdly FeelsBad design choices so far lol. I think part of my problem is it's hard not to compare it to endgame HK when you have all the movement options. I'm enjoying it more and more as I unlock new stuff
Gotta hand it to team cherry. after 7 years of diligent development they managed to nail exactly what everyone wanted to see after Hollow Knight - "what if the platforming was way worse" and "what if boss fights give you no rewards at all"
I totally hate the diagonal pogoing man, what were they thinking
Fantasy, at least in its modern convention, also developed more recently than sci-fi. I guess if you think genres are defined purely by aesthetics this doesn't matter but IMO it's very strange to call something a "subset" of something that developed after it
you support this??

My favorite fact about ctenophores is that they evolved their nervous system completely independently of other animals. They don't have serotonin or dopamine receptors at all and use L-glutamate as their main neurotransmitter
Guadalupe fur seal pup
Additionally they are very cute
Guadalupe fur seals on a rocky cliffside
Guadalupe fur seals live in caves and rocky caverns and hunt mainly at night. The main impact to their population was commercial sealing, but strong protections in the U.S. and Mexico are credited with their recovery, with sealing now prohibited and few fisheries interactions.

Sighting data and approximate range of the Guadalupe fur seal. The location of Guadalupe Island is noted with the large black asterisk.
Recently these guys have been spotted as far north as Alaska and as far south as the Galapagos Islands, indicating substantial population expansion. This has led to an increase in strandings and fishery interactions, but the population overall continues to grow.
Two Guadalupe fur seals, male and female (i think)
Commercial sealing during the 19th century reduced the once abundant Guadalupe fur seal to near extinction in 1894. For over a century they were only found to nest on Isla Guadalupe and a couple of nearby islands off of Mexico.
Guadalupe fur seal sunning
New data suggest the Guadalupe fur seal have expanded their range beyond Guadalupe Island due to population growth. They're being sighted in California waters in record numbers and the population is projected to grow about 9% a year going forward π¦π§ͺ
too many of these. they need to pick one everyone can agree on. maybe it could be based on the way the pronunciation is received.
