Whether it’s Democrats saying Latinx or Republicans fantasizing about having alligators eat all 65 million Latino Americans, both sides are struggling to connect with America’s fastest growing group of voters.

I think it's because a lot of people love their music and appreciate their ethos, idk

I mean, he shows no awareness of the problem with lying and cheating and now he is selling products to help people cheat not just through school and work but also forming relationships... I'm comfortable with the S word here. It's useful to call out this movement for being against humanity itself

From the article I gathered he was suspended and never received a degree, so of course he landed in the Bay with millions in venture capital toward yet another AI project promising to free you from the burden of thinking, feeling, trying, and living.

I hope everyone working on LLMs has reckoned with their role in building a technology that, so far, has offered little to no benefit to humanity — while causing real harm by degrading art, undermining labor in creative industries, and straight up automating political propaganda

Hmm. I personally am not willing to discount the work of the thousands of scientists at NOAA, EPA, NIH etc because the current admin is trying to destroy them. I think in fact part of the goal is to turn people against them to make it easier to eliminate them entirely. Maybe don't take the bait

Thank you for clarifying this. I believe we are on the same page. I think we are still at a point where the agencies are able to be repaired and performing most of their functions. If the employee purges become more widespread and turn into replacements, it will be a different story.

Ok... I'll still be in solidarity with the scientists predicting weather and climate

I urge people not to conflate the entire organization with the newly installed social media propagandists. Still a lot of dedicated public servants in NOAA and other agencies.

Sorry, I don’t understand your question. Which of the options below best describes what you need help with today?

My favorite is the AI customer service bots that are incapable of parsing your question and are basically a 2-3 minute barrier to me talking to a human anyway

The median American will never be illegally deported by ICE and left to die in a torture prison in defiance of a Supreme Court order, so it’s hard to see how any of this is a winning issue for Democrats.

What’s fun is how many people in America have zero functional knowledge of global relations and so… they just take what he’s saying as fact because they don’t know, and don’t really care.

Funny how we have been hearing for decades about the importance of states rights from the GOP, right up to the present moment, using it to rationalize destroying the Dept of Ed. I’ve never expected much in the way of ideological consistency from that movement, though.

Somebody whining about Kat Abughazaleh criticizing the Dem establishment. Bunch of blue wavers in the comments blaming the left for Dems being losers. Don’t worry, plenty more where that came from

People in there still mad about Bernie 2016. They’ve had a fucking decade to figure out why their party loses pushover elections and still they blame the left.
