My little one asked me the meaning of the word classified. I told them it is the word people use when they don't want to tell the truth.

Some say we should think beyond categories of good and evil because those categories are morally restrictive. I do not buy that. There is evil in the world. There is good in the word. I know an evil regime when I see one. I know a regime trying to do good when I see one.

I just came across this paper on the vision of the Ku Klux Klan. You can see from it that the current government of the United States is following the blueprint of the Klan.
The two Black people standing behind them are siblings whom they baptized while they were pastoring the church. The couple also worked with Dr. King in the Civil Rights Movement in Alabama.
Due to the racism in the United States, you hardly find white pastors leading Black churches or Black pastors leading white churches. Hereβs a rare example of a white couple who led a Black Lutheran church in Birmingham, Alabama, in the 1960s.
Experience at one academic institution may help you navigate life in another academic institution, but each academic institution has its own vibe. You should be looking for the vibe.
So, I make these brief videos for the general public. Check out my YouTube page and share it if you like them. Also, subscribe.

I said it would get worse very quickly. By tomorrow we will have completed the most dangerous & frightening 24 hours thus far of Trump 2.0. Just to name a few:
1. Defiance of a court order by sending migrants to Sudan without due process (despite clear DP decision SCOTUS) & Dist. CT. order.
Happy US book release day to me, my amazing co-author @alexhanna.bsky.social and everyone else who can now open up their own copy!!

"By instead thinking anew about actual Indigenous peoples and opening ourselves to their so-called βtribalβ ways, we may stand our best chance of again becoming civilβand maybe even civilized."
"If I may end with a plea, it is that we stop calling our problem in the United States one of tribalism. To call politics in our era βtribalβ is to project our own rancor and divisiveness onto societies that have rarely been as polarized as ours."
