Might you mean Scoff by Pen Vogler? (A history of food and class in Britain) I tried to look it up but couldn’t find anything other than this. It’s a great tip if so - looks really interesting!

While the world is worried about Dubai attacked by Iran drones - Ukrainian city of Kharkiv was bombed again by Russian drone today with 2 kids wounded, 10 and 12 years oldοΏΌ

I get the strong sense that the bulk of media are calling Starmer's position on Iran entirely wrongly right now. I simply don't believe that most people out there are either as hawkish as the Tories or as anti-everything as the Greens. Being conflicted in the middle seems about right to me.

@joshdeanmp.bsky.social Sadiq Khan absolutely nails it here. I hope you are listening.
β€œβ€¦trying to compete with Reform on the right of politics not only feels inauthentic, at a time when authenticity is more prized in politics than ever, but a betrayal of what Labour is supposed to represent.”

The death of the Firm

The arrest of Andrew may not show the end of the monarchy, but it may show the end of a certain model of monarchy

Designing parks for teenage girls does not mean taking space away from others.
It means noticing who is not using parks and asking why.
It’s about not assuming what teenagers want.
It doesn't mean spaces just for teenage girls, it’s about designing spaces that girls, and others, want to use.

Radcliffe should remember we immigrants and children of immigrants are here because of British colonisation and make a huge contribution. He moved to Monaco to avoid Β£4bn tax. His club Man U owes everything to migrant players and migrant supporters. He’s an embarrassment to the club and game.

With Richard Evans too! 😁
