im not sure how its possible but every new rendering from the administration of the ballroom is bigger and uglier than the last. the latest one looks like the stapled a goddamn amazon fulfillment center onto the white house.
An inverted ziggurat building painted white in Santiago that looks just like the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
A view of spiraling interior ramps show an array of small shops selling fashion, cell phone repair and more.
A shop window features a mannequin in a pleather bra and garters. Above her, a neon sign in yellow reads "Sex Shop."
I'm in Santiago and I made it to South America's Guggenheim. (It was on the life list.) Really, it's a spiral mall, or caracol, an architectural type typical of Chile that came about in the '70s. In this one, you can get your cell phone fixed, get your nails done and buy dildos.
Sure Pete, but let's save some of that energy for investigating
& prosecuting Noem for her crimes and overt corruption. America needs to see justice.
Kristi Noem lied under oath to Congress. Here’s the evidence to prosecute and convict her for perjury. open.substack.com/pub/statusco...
If human rights are limited to certain groups, they are not really human rights, are they?
They are torturing and killing people in our concentration camps, and I wish more people were actively bothered by that
The Ford Pinto had a death rate of 85 people for 10 million cars sold. The Cybertruck hasn't sold 10 million, but the fatality rate so far maths out to 1,452 people killed per 10 million sold.
The Cybertruck may be the deadliest road car, for the occupants, ever sold.

Real Italian meat sauce, with rich taste and velvety texture, isn’t at all hard to make; it just needs a long time and a low flame. This recipe from Sara Jenkins, who grew up in Tuscany and has cooked all over Italy, shows how it’s done. nyti.ms/4kMidiB

Doing it on the government dime, the Epstein class flying high. Both good Christians married to other people.
I really appreciate this generous, thoughtful review in @dissentmag.bsky.social.

Great piece from @dsquareddigest.bsky.social, which touches on one of the big theories for why English-speaking countries do especially badly at housebuilding:
Adversarial and litigious common law systems (Anglo) vs judge-led civil law systems elsewhere.

Wow! This is some top-notch investigative journalism. The report claims the 3 million Epstein files released are only 2% of the total.
The massive scale of what’s still missing is hard to comprehend.
UPDATE: Hegseth has included VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY on a list of schools off limits for tuition assistance for military officers as part of his campaign against schools he describes as “biased” against the US military.🤔 www.cnn.com/2026/02/13/p...
Just as ICE and CBP have no legitimate role in "election security" neither does the head of DHS. The mere existence of this press conference should be a scandal, much less this tone-deaf comment.
We are entering the “falling out of windows” phase.

Artificial intelligence may be hurtling America toward a mass job-loss event—that is, if the country’s CEOs and business leaders are to be believed. Does anyone have a plan? Josh Tyrangiel reports:
This @michellegoldberg.bsky.social piece is a must read on how angry the Democratic electorate is and how badly some moderates are still misreading it

The NBA should replace the East & West with North, South, East, and West divisions.
If they can do this to find a dog, they can do this to find anyone. That’s terrifying.
