I've honestly dabbled with ideas to make on the videogames-as-interactive-art end of the spectrum, myself, so I'm inclined to be generous towards all the ways video games can be used as things that aren't simply games

It's not FOR ME but I'm not inclined to that variety of challenging game myself. I think Takeshi's Challenge level obtuseness is perfectly valid as a game though. I've certainly watched enough people play through that sort of thing
