I can never fathom why anyone would follow my antics or tolerate my dumbass, but I never forget how blessed I am with the friends I have, the experiences I've yet to have, and people I've yet to meet.

Hey, I'm still alive!

This year felt especially gloomy, but I managed to end it with being able to drive and two part time jobs. I couldn't be more grateful.

This time last year I had my first big trip overseas and made some core memories. I'm excited to go back solo someday.

I can't wait.

Hope is a powerful thing. It's the quiet proof amongst the self-hatred that you can go on. Hoping that today will be better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better than today.

I start in a few days. Thanks for reading, and especially the friends that had given me encouragement to not lose hope.

Like a slow, warm wave, a lot of bottled pain is trickling away. I don't fully believe it yet, I don't feel entirely safe and don't want to let my guard down. I could gum it all up. But who cares — I finally found a place that sees some value in my wairua, at last.

I'm so grateful to have found something that is outdoors-related and to simply greet and share stories of my own backcountry travels with visitors. I can also get to the sanctuary via cycling.

My role isn't photography based, but that's okay — it will always be a passion of mine.

After two long years, I found a job after university. It's nothing huge, but it's something special. Even though it's not full-time work, I get to work in a native wildlife sanctuary full of taonga species close to home.
