Incredible that Lynch spent the last 20+ years of his career being rejected, second guessed, meddled with and unable to fund any of his projects. Even TP:TR, tho revelatory in every respect, was nearly impossible to make and done in too little time with too little money. His last wide release? 2001.
Just rolled credits on Indiana Jones & The Great Circle on Xbox Series X. Among the best games of this generation. Pitch perfect tone, surprising, immersive, wildly entertaining. What a game.
Lifetime highlight*
Richard performing words that I wrote for @titlepoint and @objectcollection βs Periscope presented by @bricktheater remains a lifetime. He lived an artistβs life that no longer exists and we are worse for its absence. Godspeed.
Utterly affirming that his work has influenced so many. His vibrations will be felt for a very long time. Beyond grateful to have had the chance to learn from him.
Rest in Peace to the great Richard Foreman, whose writing and artistic philosophy buttressed New York avant garde theater for generations and plumbed the depths of absurdity to commune in profane spaces.
