Dev Diary 02/14/2026 Love is in the air…or maybe it’s a gas leak? Either way, it’s got everyone acting silly today! This month’s early Dev Diary talking about talking! At the cart, in the park, on the phone. You can chat with foxes in all sorts of places! What? No strawberry scenes in this post? We’ve got a few non-customers around too! They’re not datable, (yet?) but you’ll still be chatting with them Ganache will be bugging you a LOT They’ll help you get this place fixed up! We’re looking forward to you all chatting with the cast to get to know them!

Early Dev Diary this month! Happy Valentine's/Hearts and Hooves day!

You can't see it in the static image, but the fountain also wobbled like there was an earthquake. We all miss wobbly fountain.

Not yet! We don't want to take anyone's money before we have a playable demo to put in their hands. Crowd funding will begin once the demo is ready, most likely mid summer. :3

We’ve been through a lot of iterations, but we’re still hard at work trying to make our dream something you can share. It’s been two years since our one year deadline so I think it’s probably about time to say it again. This year…it’s happening. Monthly updates will come out on the 30th or 31st! Thank you for being patient!

Dev Diary 01/31/2026 Almost three years ago we posted, “This year…it’s happening” …Wow was that estimate off.

It turns out making a game is a bit squirrely isn’t it? You need to have all kinds of things in mind, like what’s it going to look like, how’s it going to play… turns out you can spend a whole year just deciding that and figuring out how business taxes work

And then when you know what you want it to look like…you need to actually make it? How unfair is that? Thank goodness people who know how to code exist! It’s meant designing, prototyping, and reworking. We’ve been through a LOT of placeholders.

We’ll miss you, placeholders!

Many shenanigans lies in these foxes' futures

The interviewer asks a grumpy looking fox, "How about we start with a name? What should everyone call you"

The fox angrily replies, "HOW BOUT YOU CALL ME WHAT I HAD YOUR MOM SCREAMING LAST NIGHT WHEN I WAS-"

The interviewer interrupts, "Let's keep this family friendly. Want to make a good first impression. Don't we?"

The fox disagrees.

We uh...might not be able to get good interview responses from her 😅

Strawberry is Strawberry 🍓

The camera man says, "...and thats basically how this work! Now its your turn to introduce yourself to everyone!" Chocolate asks the camera, "Wait, run that back. So they ask me whatever they want and I HAVE to answer?"

The camera man defensively says, "Uh, I guess you don't have to. But I think it'll be way more fun if you do!" Chocolate replies, "Nothing fun about an interrogation. Just don't ask me anything too freaky and we've got ourself a deal."

Chocolate's suspicion about the whole affair grows as she continues interrogtting the canera man, bowling over his attempts to reply. "and don't go using my likeness to sell mass produced bobbleheads and non using what I saw out of context for a stupid article and are you sure this is all up to code and totally airtight and who else have you got signed up for this? What even is this anyways? A TV show? A documentary?"

Chocolate takes the camera man's script and says, "Actually, just let me look at the script. We gotta make sure thisbis all properly written or else no ones gonna bother tuning in and you're gonna be screwed out of viewership"

Oh boy, she might be a bit of trouble. 😅

The mailer asks, "To Vanilla: What are your favorite places to go in your town and why?"

Vanilla replies, "Oh...Well there's lots of places. The library is nice and quiet. And free. ...o-or I'll go to the candle store and sniff all my favorite smells. And the park has all those cute, little duckies! I love watching them. "

Vanilla continues, with a haunted expression, "I used to g-go to this tasty taco shop b-because th-theybdid half-price tacos every Tuesday... But one day they recognized m-me and my order. I g-got so embarrassed I haven't been back since."

Her local haunts.

Vanilla is startled to be informed she is now a public figure and must introduce herself.

Vanilla covers her face with her hair and declares she has nothing to say and doesn't want to answer questions.

The photographer lets her know that's the whole point of the mailbox and she needs to participate.

Vanilla agrees to do her best and introduces herself like a wet cat.

Please be nice to her. She's quite shy 🙇‍♀️
