Speaking as a Jew living in Diaspora, who needs to exist as a minority at a time of rising antisemitism, I would really appreciate it if the Prime Minister of a country where I do not live would not say that attacks on a sovereign country are analogous to attacks on a synagogue.

Side note: I used “Talmudic law” because that’s phrasing anti-Semites use. However, the more accurate word is “Halakhah,” which, just like “sharia” means, “the way/path.” It refers to law as practiced, while the Talmud’s discussions usually don’t actually come to legal conclusions.
Just as no one other than anti-Semites are saying that Talmudic law is taking over America, the same is true regarding Sharia.
Regarding the disgusting canard about Muslims trying to impose sharia law: the “basis” is the recognition of sharia courts’ rulings as legally binding arbitrations.
This is no different than the legal recognition of a Beis Din’s Halakhic rulings.

Obviously the extreme bigotry against Muslims is more than enough reason to oppose this, but it's worth noting that this is also an attack on the very basic principle of religious pluralism that has made the US a comparatively safe place for Diaspora Jews.
