B. No, but if any of them were then my Hawke and my Inky would be the most interesting pairing. They both represent almost everything that the other is not (eg. Hawke is a very staunch Atheist, while Inky is a very staunch Andrastian). Barring both being mages, they clash against each other so hard.
But yeah, I did struggle a bit at first, being so used to the very similar fighting styles of the first three games I went in expecting the same. Being able to actually dodge instead of simply running away and praying you weren't still in the hitbox when the blow came was also a brilliant addition.
D. That one really caught me off guard. I did enjoy it though, I loved that I could switch between a staff and the orb and dagger, was so refreshing and massively extended the Mage fighting style lore. The D&O took a while to get a hang of but once I got it I used to it it was a literal gamechanger.
B. Dalish. A million percent. Not even a debate. I'll take being shit on for being a Shem every waking minute over being imprisoned under the likes of Ser Alrik (🤢🤢🤢) for even a second.
B. The one I'm thinking about feels so stiff and I struggle so hard to RP with it. I still think it's an absolutely fantastic game though, but it definitely gets the rose-tinted glasses treatment.
One of my favourites is when Aveline asks Varric to make signs about not doing crime and he says:
"Well how about a giant sign that just says "Don't." You could hit people with it."
D - He's such a delight to have around, genuinely has made me laugh out loud with his banter as well.

C. DAI. While the dragon fight animations were repetitive, it made up for that with guard and resistances/vulnerabilities and a hell of a health bar.
Does it look cool as hell when my storm Mage is going up against Vinsomer (storm dragon) in the Storm Coast? Absolutely. Is my Inky also fucked? Yep.

A. It is one of my absolute most favourite DAI quests, to the point where I got my boyfriend to help download outfit mods when I played on his PC so I could have my Inky looking the way I wanted her to look and not in that eughg Nutcracker outfit; I was so serious about the roleplay 🍷

C. To my absolute chagrin, I left one. One. I couldn't find it. I couldn't for the life of me work out how to get to it. I looked up a walkthrough and it still didn't work. I was at the end of the game and just wanted to get to the endgame so walkthroughs for the chests were by that point okayed.

C. I feel like Iron Bull could secretly be an Iron Chef. I can actually see him in the kitchens rustling up the best platters you've ever tasted.
There is also the Blade of Tidarion staff which I've actually never found so have never tried, but it looks so interesting and different.
C. DAI staves went so damn hard. Staff of the Dragon & Accuser's Staff are lovely, but I favour the Magister Lightning Staff. Stick a Superb Lightning Rune or Superb Corrupting Rune in it = even better. I love the ability to add blades, but I wish you could actually stab if people come too close.
10/10 RPG, 5/10 combat.
I don't care about combat in games (in terms of excitement. If it's unplayable because of glitching etc, that's unacceptable). I care for world-building and lore.
I found DAO combat to be extremely dull & had far too many enemy waves, but the rest of it is absolutely fire 🔥
