This was fun! Thinking about why these books work and how they've connected with people has given me a greater appreciation for them.

Maybe the GL fandom explains why I've never really cared for Hal Jordan, a topic I explored once to much grumpiness from said fandom in the inaugural entry of a column I never continued. www.comicsbeat.com/grus-clues-h...
I've worked with Dark Horse since 1991, some years back they became my home publisher. A number of folks were responsible for my DHC work, but Mike was a major part of it, always supportive (even when disagreeing), interested and a major reason I have a career. Sorry to see this. End of an era.
remembering Catherine O’Hara on her birthday 🤍
Came across the animated promo for GREEN LANTERN: WILLWORLD that I've never seen (or even heard about) before. I would love to see this book back in print.
Seth Fisher was an extraordinary talent. Can you imagine what he'd be up to today? What a loss.

Fingers crossed for B’dg or Chip!
Makes sense, he is 75. Still, end of an era.
One of the most influential publishers in the modern history of comics has left the company he helped found.

End of an era…
I SAID YES!…to this amazing, unexpected gift. Will Smith of @greenlanternspodcast.com sent me this gorgeous shiny metal band—imbued, I imagine, with the deadly, rage-fueled power of the Crimson Flame!
Thank you; so incredibly kind of you, Will (easily now my favorite Alan Scott fan and podcast. 😁)

Oh man if those fucking SKYDANCE scumbags end up owning our beloved Batman, Bugs Bunny and (*sob*) MAD Magazine I'm gonna make it my holy mission to violate and disrespect as many WB trademarks as possible until the day I die.
In case it means repeating, I loathe the Ellisons…
A lot of my friends looked at that DC book with Mortal Kombat and Annabelle the doll from Annabelle and said "who's that bear," which tells me I'm not saying this frequently enough: this is one of the best books going

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)
At a time when our industry is getting hacked to pieces, this is infuriating. Good on Kotaku for reporting this, and on Metacritic for removing that slop what it was caught. I don’t know what the answer is, but writers and consumers need to give a scarlet letter to every site that tries this crap.
Rightwing media is now just MeToo Welfare.
The Joker is once again the "Partyman," as Warner Bros. reveals Prince's track will appear in LEGO BATMAN: LEGACY OF THE DARK KNIGHT.
