Felt very spring like this afternoon on the dog walk π The Tower and Neptune, Hardwick Park.
Drove along the same road today and all the black bags have been picked up! I assume it was the council so a big thank you to Durham County Council π

Dirty Business on C4 was absolutely brilliant and fucking terrifying. Itβs imperative we re-nationalise our water companies otherwise the greedy bastards will kill us all.
A collage of close-up photographs showing early spring budburst on trees and shrubs. Swollen pink and red buds, fresh green leaf shoots, unfurling scales, and pale catkins are shown against soft blurred backgrounds, illustrating sap rising and plants coming back into life in March.
Marchβs full moon, rising on 3rd March, is called the Worm Moon or the Sap Moon. As the soil warms, earthworms emerge, and plants stir as sap rises and buds begin to unfurl. This yearβs March Moon is especially notable as it coincides with a total lunar eclipse in the night sky.
Yep ........a big make this week . Final next week !! ππ
Common sense has gone out of the window. Pointless act of numptyism.

"WE WOULD HAVE SEEN IT BY NOW."
What the heck is going on? I havenβt seen as much litter and fly tipping for decades. Iβve just reported a load of household rubbish that has been thrown out of a moving vehicle to my local council. Bags and bags chucked on the verge! Dirty sods π Thereβs no excuse.
Oh dear! Why would anyone do that. Angry and sad to read your post.

How Much I Dislike the Daily MailΒ Β I would ratherΒ eat Quavers that are six weeks stale,Β blow dry the man bun of Gareth Bale,Β listen to the songs of Jimmy Nail,Β than read one page of the Daily Mail.Β Β If I was boredΒ in a waiting room in Perivale,Β on a twelve-hour trip on Network Rail,Β halfway through a circumnavigational sail,Β I would not read the Daily Mail.Β Β I would happily readΒ the autobiography of Dan Quayle,Β 1001 Things You Can Do With Kale,Β selected scripts from Emmerdale, if it meant I didnβt have to read the Daily Mail.Β Β Far better toΒ stand outside in a storm of hail,Β scratch a blackboard with a fingernail,Β be swallowed by a humpback whale,Β than have to read the Daily Mail.Β Β If I was blind Β and it was the only thing in Braille,Β I still would not read the Daily Mail.Β Β Brian BilstonΒ

It was teaming with families at Wallington today. All out enjoying the fresh air. Kids covered in mud, following trails, looking in ponds and full of fun. Made me feel wistful but at least I had a quiet look round the shop and a peaceful ride home π€ #NationalTrust #Wallington

I know I keep banging on about my designs but itβs not easy being a small business at the moment.

Thanks!
Had a run out to Wallington this afternoon. The river walk was just lovely and we ended in the walled garden. A lawn of the most vibrant purple crocuses were in full flower. It was nice enough to sit on a bench and have a picnic at midday too. Roll on Spring!
Heard the first woodpecker of the year this morning π (couldnβt see it anywhere but it was tapping away!)

small fungi with vivid red cups in the woodland
Could spring be just around the corner? Scarlet elf cups are emerging in the woods at Hudswell, North Yorkshire - a vibrant sign of winters end and a brilliant splash of colour on the woodland floor.

What a pretty little laneβ¦sunshine and a bit of blue sky too!
Nice one πππ I though I heard one the other day but wind and hat made me uncertain!

Long way to go for a wee!! I wonder if 750 was a random mileage by the painter?
From December 2023 showing the uprights at the Hartlepool side of Steetley Pier!
These enormous uprights are usually at the other side of Steetley Pier! Massive seas recently have shoved them north towards Crimdon. They are the ones that were painted up a few years ago.
Shifting sands have uncovered lots of previously unseen items on the beach. The dune edge has been taken away in places and left a sheer face. The power of the sea. Steetley Pier, Hartlepool
Wrecks, petrified trees etc. used to be uncovered for a short period of timeβ¦β¦.then the sand would return and cover it all over again. But this is massive! The dune today had a 10/12 ft edge π± where does it all go?
