This act will require citizens to present a passport or birth certificate to vote, which 21 million Americans don't have access to. It was never about safe elections and always about silencing the most vulnerable.
Trump lied to the nation tonight and said the SAVE Act will protect our elections from fraud. The truth? We don’t have a voter fraud issue, we have a voter suppression issue.

It is not an accident that white supremacists, across generations, targeted this same shul.
As a Black Jew, moments like this remind me why an intersectional lens is critical. This synagogue has long been a symbol of Black and Jewish solidarity. As both the only synagogue in Jackson and the largest synagogue in Mississippi, it carries tremendous symbolic weight.
In 1967, this same synagogue was bombed by the KKK after its rabbi publicly supported the Civil Rights Movement.
Nearly 60 years apart. Same white supremacist playbook.
On January 10, 2026, the only synagogue in Jackson, Mississippi was set on fire. The suspected arsonist reportedly targeted the shul because of its “Jewish ties,” calling it the “synagogue of Satan.”
Anyone weaponizing the suffering of the Jewish community to spread anti-Muslim hate is scum of the earth. If your response to one kind of bigotry is to spread another kind of bigotry, you posses zero understanding of how we actually get free.

Randy Fine, a Jewish Republican Senator, is calling for the mass expulsion of Muslim people from the U.S. and a Muslim travel ban. In a recent post he claimed that “diversity is not our strength.” Which is ironic considering that this same logic was once deployed against Ashkenazi Jews who
1) Limitations on how many firearms one person can own 2) Launching a national firearms registry and 3) Implementing a gun buyback program.
