I was in Jimmy's Cafe today reminding my best friend that my cat was named after Jimmy Carter. An hour later I learned that Jimmy Carter died. A sad day. Now I have to tell my cat.

When I first started doing art, I was told by an older, more experienced artist to not be the type of artist who just paints another boring flower. But I love to paint, and I also love to paint flowers. So... I've become another extremely happy artist who paints what they want.

In our town, they tried to cut funding for arts programs. I never thought they actually would. So I wasn't surprised when they raised our taxes, and "restored" most of the art funding. I believe this was their plan to get everyone to accept the tax increase. Tired of this strategy.
