I can't believe that out of the blue VS Code decided it would simply stop working with Godot no matter how many times I tried re-setting everything as every guide showed. Literally worked like normal yesterday... But of course things start working again when I switch to Open Source lol
A quick little update:
I found myself needing to work with icons to represent player input and took a little detour to work on a system for that! It works across scenes and with newly instanced labels.
I even made a crappy showcase too! (Icons are from Kenney's Input Prompts pack) #gamedev #godot
Often when our list of Adobe alternatives is shared people comment that it's okay to pirate Adobe software. It's not, because that still supports Adobe through usage and staying in their ecosystem. Instead, do look into alternatives!

Vespera the werebat as Vampire. No, she doesn't eat people, but she was still the obvious choice
Aioue the shadow monster as Midas Mask. Another obvious choice, if only for her being my singular masked character
Gwenffrewi the light dragon as Fortune Teller. She was unfortunately the only one who REMOTELY fit the Joker, despite not being a visual match. I gave her a tarot card to try and make up for it. Hey, at least the sprite *looks* good, eh?
Mulberry the dark dragon as Cartomancer. She doesn't really fit her Joker either, but you can tell it's Cartomancer from the colour scheme, and anyway I couldn't pass up the chance to make the mother and daughter pair synergise with each other! I just had a run with both of them and it was legit so wholesome watching Mulberry make tarot cards to power up her mum
