The same issue with confirmation bias in AI is that it will remove any uniqueness over time where most GenAI outputs of โconceptsโ will look very similar with little variation. Thereโs no creativity in that. Just repeating something over and over again until it becomes muscle memory for the AI.

I might be mis-remembering (that happens a lot), but I swore the manual that came with the board (physical) shows the channels in parallel pairs, not staggered like it shows in the other documentation I just looked at online. I'll have to play with that tomorrow.

The only thing that sucks is that anti-cheats don't allow you to run some games in VMs because they are afraid you'll use some kind of shim for memory access on the host.
Also added a new 4TB NVMe SSD and RX 9060XT. This allowed me to use my (now older) 5600XT in the PCI-e 3.0 x16 lanes. With some work, I now have a working and stable VFIO GPU Passthrough setup! It's been ages since I did it (old 6700k build), and it runs awesome.
Been a minute since I updated this. I bought new(er) parts for my PC. Memory spiked right when I was looking to build an AM5 setup, but was quickly deterred by almost $1k price tags on 64GB kits. I decided to upgrade the CPU to a 5800XT, upgrade my board from the B550-I (mITX) to the B550-F (ATX).

Update: the USB to SATA controller in the enclosure (?)โฆ died? I will hook it up to another system and see whatโs up but I may have to schuck this drive and put it into another enclosure. Seagate quality. ๐

I blacklisted the uas module from the equation just to rule that out entirely. Now we wait.
This is likely a problem with Seagates choice of USB-to-SATA controller and the uas kernel driver and I would need to fall back to the usb-storage driver.
TLDR something to do with writes hitting a timeout and error handling.
If I could have a single day where a disk or file system issue doesnโt plague my life that would be great. This in particular is a dirty journal for an external drive using ext4 on Linux Mint. Machine is an iMac18,3.
