I9-12900H with 32GB of Ram and a reasonable SSD. It’s possible that corp. settings for Windows defender are slowing it down, but I got similar results on my personal machine with similar specs.

The latest version runs slower than any previous release. It hangs on launch, and any time you do much of anything. Maybe if the product improved it would be worth an upgrade. For day to day tasks I’ll stick with the SQL Server extension in VSCode.
