But it can get confusing, because there are actually 3 species. The Southern, the most widespread. The Eastern, almost identical. And the Northern, the rarest of the three. All three are declining.

They Rockhopper Penguin looks like it's going to a punk rock concert.

Unlike most penguins that waddle or slide on their bellies, it literally hops between rocks.

Oh, and it's one of the most declining penguin species on the planet.
