It is very worrying to see pressures some educations systems are under from tech companies and their fanbois given the lack of evidence any of it helps people learn better.
The story is older than GenAI. The common thread is tech companies persistently assume a bad model of learning.

Germany has huge renewables capacity.
France is more spiky but uses less gas (is lower carbon) than Spain.
Could this also be about cross border flows and thus geographical position?

I’m not seeing a correlation there between renewables capacity and these charts.

But the Civil War was basically suspended while the KMT and CCP both fought the Japanese.
Which I pointed out.
At which point she blocked me.
Really weird.

Like, I showed her Yalta and asked if the big three were on the “same side” and all I got back was abuse. And a pic of Hitler and Mussolini, same question. Same response: Abuse.
Eventually she settled on saying China because it had a civil war going on.

She was just weirdly angry with me saying there were basically two sides in WW2 as if that was some offence against history.
I kept asking her to name the third major side.
It was one of those conversations where someone keeps shouting “you’re stupid” but never explaining their own view.

“15% probability of awareness”
That makes no sense as a statement. There is not only no basis for calculating a number, it wouldn’t even make sense to have one. It’s bullshit.

Honestly, I think they’re probably warm about countries joining in on any of the violence.
They seem to have most contempt for people refusing to join in.
It’s that insane.

LabourList here openly advertising the Labour Party as a haven for transphobes. This is to the right of the 2017 Tories.
Labour are digging their own graves.
And it’s not like they aren’t being begged to stop by voters. But they don’t want to listen.

In addition to the Falkland Islands was a slave camp plantation guy, I just had another claim that the US, UK and USSR were not fighting on the same side in the latter half of WW2.
Just mad stuff.

Anyway, I just blocked the guy so I think I'm growing as a person.

Just got in an argument on here with some dumb British guy who claimed there were ONLY two sides in
WW2. So I asked him what side China was on. He said
"Allies". Then I pointed out China was in the middle of a civil war. He didn't like that.
I mean, “didn’t like that” and “no, they suspended hostilities to fight the Japanese” aren’t really the same thing. This wasn’t an extra side in World War II.
What a very weird person.

I mean, I’m not a dead head and I maybe don’t know any, but “I’ll take the Internet’s word for it” is wild. As if there are no reliable online sources.
Like, just admit “shit my bad I prolly shoulda known” rather than this mealymouthed shit.

Basically, two sides. No mythical third alliance you dreamt up.
As I said before, it looks like you misunderstood your teacher correcting your simple mindedness as if everyone was as simple minded as you.

Yay! I have a stalker from another thread!
(She jumped in to defend the whole Platner Nazi tattoo guy with a curious argument that WW2 was too complicated for the average serious WW2 buff to know what a Totenkopf was)

You’re very intellectually insecure aren’t you?
At no time have you ever made any substantive comment except to get it wrong that the Chinese civil war continued unabated during World War Two.
Apart from that you’ve just called me names.
Not the sign of a great mind, tbh.

The two sides in the Chinese civil war suspended conflict between 1937 and 1945 in order to fight the Japanese and then more broadly they joined the Allies.
Hope this helps.
Perhaps follow your own advice and “read a fucking book” some time. It might help.

That’s what “side” means in a war.
What happened was you misunderstood your teacher when they told you “don’t assume these military allies were always happy bedfellows full of mutual trust who never switched” to mean “there were not two basic sides”
Which is on you. Your fuck up.
