Awesome - get one to fruit and Iβm going to call you Matthew Decker from then on! π
Itβs only a flex if you grow it under glass and out of season John:

Beautiful father/daughter collaboration and also looks like it might make a beautiful infographic!
I seem to recall the issue is trying to avoid the debris field created when the Shaheed detonates right in front of you
The Ukrainians lost too many planes getting close enough to use guns on drones, itβs too risky to do routinely

#DnD has a lot to answer for - I think the issue stems from later versions containing a mini game, namely designing and levelling up your PC. Players are so invested in this mini-game that killing a PC without cause breaks the social contract with the DM. Thus the βbalanceβ obsession. Itβs absurd.

So for example βSharpeβs Eldritch Exchangeβ that I ran @the-kraken.bsky.social a couple of years back is 6 pages including flow chart for the various scenes/locations, plus handouts. If itβs a published scenario I just have a hand drawn locations and clues mind map.
2 column is the way to go. Somehow makes a huge difference to condensing the content.
I grew up on a diet of Tintin and AstΓ©rix but itβs true the rest of then donβt make it across the channelβ¦
Honestly given a lot of players donβt have time until they sit down at the table, thatβs maybe better! π
I usually do a one pager with images and brief descriptions for each character. If your ethical code permits itβs also fun to get AI to animate the images, add voiceover and make a short video pitch that introduces the scenario and the PCs.
Surely the wings just donβt work for flying when you are grappling with another Maia?
Must say, solo travelling in SA was very pleasant - everyone was lovely. Iβd totally move to Cape Town. @fuzzybunny.org which bar in Zurich can I randomly talk to people in with a decent chance of success!? π
I grew up playing D&D with my blind father. Itβs the perfect game for them - theatre of the mind. You will need to explain their character sheet and pass them dice to roll & announce results. Handouts must be read, maps described. A braille version of 5e is available, so this is not unusual.
God forbid - I put skill points into getting served at any bar - this is *not* OK!
Citibank stock is $55 and one of the bosses (close to retirement) has just told my colleague he has his whole pension in it, because itβs safe as houses.
Thanks for the lengthy reply, will check out your suggestions
Maybeβ¦.Ten Candles and Ironsworn run as GMless both underwhelmed me. What games would you recommend that have the necessary rules?
The weakness of so called GMless games is the story will only be as good as the least capable playerβs storytelling. So unless youβre all experienced GMs, the experience will not be optimal. Even with good GMs at the table you experience editorial and stylistic variation between them.
Based on how LLMs work saying βpleaseβ ought to slightly skew the choice - most likely the friendliness and style - of the response, so itβs not entirely redundant.
Hasnβt The One Ring eclipsed MERP (although brilliant in its time) and therefore it is Call of Cthulhu?
10 shirts at Migros costs 42 CHF and some dry cleaners more or less match that price point if you pay up front.
Itβs possible to iron a shirt yourself? One doesβt have to get a shirt subscription at the local cleaners?
For him βmin campaignβ meant 5-8 sessions. For me 15 to 20 - in my mind βminiβ meant NOT 50!
This is apt, 8 sessions into my The One Ring Moria campaign the heroβs have just unlocked the Dimrill door. The hobbit: β2 or 3 more sessions is all I can commit toβ, The dwarves: βwe have no preconceptions to lengthβ π
IME small dogs are invariably forgotten by player & GM alike until after the party has traversed a situation where the dog could not have passed, requiring retconning.
Solution: lifelike cardboard cutout of dog on the table.
True, maybe only 2 or 3 conventions as such, after all ZΓΌrich for example is only the same size as Bristol.
