So the Palm Springs daily is running, and promoting on social media, a story from the corporate overlords about a special at a gas-station chain with no stores within 2,000 miles or so of here. How helpful.

One of these days, I'll get used to Louisville (a team in Kentucky) traveling to Stanford (in California) to play in an ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE game. But today is not that day. #gostanford
