Just sucks so much about making money in this space would involve being a fundamentally different person and there's no real alternative besides having a massive audience from outside tabletop you leverage.

Reddit is one of those entities that I cannot understand. I once explained my attempt to interact with it to another indie RPG designer on a discord and he said if he witnessed my behaviour he'd "click on that person's account and downvote everything they ever posted."

I advocate for using the platform's tools however you wanna experience them, but mostly I either keep scrolling or mute it. I'm fascinated by perspectives on the hobby which I find as numerous as there are people in it, but also I like to ponder the common ideas people come to in it and why.

Part of me used to revel in thiShit but atp I'd rather people just make something and enjoy it / critique it in particular and move on. The abstractions get so peculiar and invoke so many ultra-personal experiences that it gets hard to communicate in total remove from a specific example, and I uh,
I fear Bluesky tabletop RPG discourse is starting to go the way of All Other TTRPG Discourse locations; which is to say, deeply divided based on pre-conceived notions that are fundamentally more compatible than they are articulated as being with a whole lot of definitive statements x-x
