haven't been on here in a bit, what did I miss?

like how can you mess up this bad
one of many open ai chart crimes from the gpt-5 live stream
Zuck is launching Loopt 2.0
is he just messing with Sam at this point?
sad I missed this
this looks great
got it
it's for hiding explicit content
I don't like this
no idea what they're doing
the point of this is: you don't need to move to sf to build something, but if you don't, you feel isolated.
density is here to get all the serious people under one roof with no BS "programming" or performative stuff we don't actually care about. 100% founder led, we do whatever we want
have an insane group of founders working together bc the chicago tech scene sucks
hosting growth hacks evens at: lu.ma/density-coll...
I ran them personally for a few months, now integrating into the density calendar
if you're building in chicago stay tuned for the launch of density.ventures ๐

kinda wild having a 30,000 foot view over everything happening on this app
i can get caught up to speed in like 30 seconds
i tried messing around with rules to see if I could force it to stop saying this and it was fun to watch it think about it... before still saying it
Going to be shipping something soon that tracks narratives that are being pushed/emerging across platforms
kinda words rn for bluesky (lots of work to do though)
feel like this is a very important problem to solve - allows you to view the algo from a birds eye view

you need to be actionmaxxing
easier to rage than read sadly
From the perspective of de-platforming, shadow banning, or de-monetization, I've started to think about PDS as a form of insurance for creators
northern michigan?
do you think it's just an education problem though? I'd guess that those complaining about bsky don't truly understand what the atproto is, and can't delineate between the two
they know words like decentralized, custom feed, etc. without understanding the infra
Everyone took a pretty cool blog about decentralized protocols and turned it into a rant about an app
the comments are really missing the point... bluesky โ AT proto and the beauty is, if you hate bluesky and what they do, there are other apps built on top of the same network that you can use.
And if you don't like those, you can create another one you do like (still using the same network)
Getting the data is the tricky part, so for other platforms we just have to ask what data they're interested in
It's really anything market research, PR, consumer insights, etc.
Currently they use social listening tools which rely on keyword tracking. Our approach is to cluster/index as much as possible and use re-rank + LLMs to sift through the data so you don't need to configure anything custom
yeah we're making a big UX change next week
we need to split the two experiences because we have VERY different users rn: those who want an aggregated feed and those who want to analyze opinions across feeds
group one is general consumer, group two is business-focused
sentiment distributions
that's a good point though and we should consider that
You can try it now at app.siftree.com
lot's of work to do, but you should be able to get some value from it now.
