Oh jeez. My first time on Bluesky in about a year, and I see this. I’ve got all the feels. Chad’s an absolute machine on those deliveries. This was the two largest @canadarobin.bsky.social and I ever did.

ICONIC: Yosemite National Park workers just hung an upside-down American flag—THOUSANDS of feet up on El Capitan. That’s not decoration. That’s a distress signal. They’re telling us the country is in danger. Are you paying attention?

The shop put a Rohloff on for a few months while we waited for the nexus 5. Nice hub, but the shifting was mechanical (because the motor is Shimano, and they apparently don’t play nicely together), and the linkage froze in the winter. They offered the Rohloff at cost, but I stuck with Shimano.
Side panels had taken a beating from hauling heavy loads of pet supplies and food bank deliveries, so I bought a new set, but haven’t ever installed them because I got the box instead.
When they did that, I think they replaced the belt, and definitely replaced the cog and chainring. The tires are original (but swap out for winter tires when seasonally appropriate). Lots of new brake pads, replaced the rotors once. Battery still original with decent range.
Yes. I originally got the Shimano 11 speed Alfine hub, and it couldn’t handle the torque of the electric motor. Shimano replaced it with another 11 speed which had the same problem. So then they replaced it with the 5 speed eNexus hub, but to do that, it required a new motor. All warrantied.
Still on the original.
If you are more outraged at Canadians booing your anthem than the fact that your mob boss is harassing and threatening a takeover of a sovereign country, whether by economic hardships or by force, then please go fuck yourself.
This is for you all in the back👇
The City of Toronto should actually clear the snow. There are cities that even invest in removing the snow. But plows simply shoving it all back up onto the sidewalks isn’t good enough.

5 years and 18,000 km later, and my eBullitt is still my favourite way to get around town. Looking forward to the next 5 years…
Nice picture!!!😉
Agreed. @canadarobin.bsky.social and I had to turn it off. Too true to life to be funny

And another driver get so angry that I drove just below the limit AND wasn’t turning right on red that he got out of his car to ask me “why do you drive if you hate cars so much?” (Maybe the @thewaroncars.bsky.social bumper sticker had something to do with that one)
There is a 4 block section of road near my house where the speed limit is 40, but most drive much faster. I make a point of stick to the speed limit and have had a car pass me on the right by going into the bike lane…

No form of urban transport is as resilient, sustainable, or convenient as the bicycle.
I love how people in Paris just casually bike through the Cour Carrée at the #Louvre.
