It's funny how after developing a detective game for so long that I suddenly have the urge to make something completely different

Wow thank you so much for mentioning my game!!
Yup! Thatβs how i made the shader in the first place, but i cant find a way to store a copy of the previous frame (or .01s ago) directly inside the shader?
From what ive searched at least, if anyone can figure it out id love to donit completely in shader
did this really hacky effect to do some simple crt ghosting! it saw this in new game The Drifter and got really inspired
Idk whether it's expensive, cus im storing a screenshot of the game every .01 seconds and plugging that into the shader, but it looks awesome #gamedev #godot #indiedev
#screenshotsaturday ! My game had to be story first, or at least in development at the same time as the game, cus the game needed content for the gameplay to be actually engaging.
Such a unique problem in detective games; without the mystery, what are players suppose to solve?

Hello again! Here's another short about my game. A lot of it is to do with text based gameplay and how to keep the players engaged. I hope shorts are cool here? I i really like shorts as a format more than just text. Says a lot about my game lol

Here's another short about my game #lostwiki ! It's a #detective game with a lot of reading, so I had to add a lot more puzzles than just words. #indiedev #gamedev #godot #game
Been very silent here, but I wanna show you a new game I'm working on in #godot ! It's a #detective game inspired by wikipedia, if you're interested, give it a wishlist!

hello everyone! been a little silent here but i thought id share my new game project!
it's going to be a detective mystery where you use an old os system to unravel a small-town mystery. here's a first pass of the design!

watched a playthrough of Doormat from tsuneko (just a streamer that commented on the game's page) and it was so fun to watch someone figure out the puzzles and have fun with the game!

Itβs up again now!

#screenshotsaturday!! almost finished with my game, and im still discovering gamebreaking bugs...
this one is so funny tho and takes a bit of button mashing skill, so i honestly dont mind keeping this in LOL
Itβs easy to slip up. All the puzzles so far have been a smooth experience, and id like to keep it that way, and in a way i dont want the player to feel like the game is punishing you for doing something wrong? Or at least not so much more than it does now
Im starting to feel like thereβs nuance to it. They said the puzzle itself is good, it just takes a lot of steps and is easy to fuck up. I donβt wanna guide them to the solution cus theyβve learnt the mechanic, but maybe i could make sure the puzzle is less easy to mess up if you make a wrong move.
I have a dilemma: i have this final hard puzzle.
When i watch ppl play it, itβs painful to watch, like theyβre swearing and getting to dead ends and not looking like they enjoyed it.
When i ask them abt it, they thought it was ok? Like it was somewhat enjoyable
How do i handle this feedback?
ThT is beautiful!!
This had me hooked for a good while when i was working LOL
Doubledecker bus is a reaaaally nice touch
for a first godot project that isnt meant to be anything, this map is biiiiiig #godot #gamedev #indiedev #pixelart
#screenshotsaturday ! Im making progress on my game, but thought id share how the two new mechanics work together to make cool traversal puzzles #godot #pixelart #gamedev #indiedev
just here to say im so proud of this animation and lightning fx is actually a lot easier than i expected it to be #pixelart #godot #gamedev #indiedev
#screenshotsaturday !! Was making final puzzles for the game, and found this super fun loop thing. Don't think I can make it a puzzle unfortunately, but it was super mesmerising

Cato is an absolute GEM
Just played the first game of Duck Detective, it was SO GOOD!!
They did so much work for a seemingly small scenario, and fully explored a full conspiracy WHILE they kept the wackiness and humour. Such a delight.
CANNOT WAIT for the next one!!
