I documented two arrests made today at Broadview. This is what they had in common.

Officer Walker, always between us and his CO. Now that you mention it, after this happened, he clicked a button on his body cam and waved his hand in front of it, as if it wasn't on before? Anyway, here's THE BROADVIEW CHIEF OF POLICE DRAGGING SOMEONE BY THE LEG.

Here's Mills, "Police ICE" dude with absolutely no identifiers or moral compass, and Officer Walker, who's crotch you'll see in image #3, forcing me to dodge around his legs on the ground in order to continue recording.

Broadview CP, Thomas Mills, dragged an individual by the foot, across concrete, away from two other officers. Sheriff's police held fellow organizers back from intervening, though one of the Sheriff's officers had initially assisted a Broadview officer in pulling said individual to the ground.

Just two days following the announcement of Noem's termination, and the day before a press conference intent on getting answers for the ICE facility's illegal detainment, transfer, & eventual release of 6 individuals (3 US citizens & 3 PRs), Broadview's officers doubled down on police brutality.

It's the middle of the night in Chicago. Reporters and electeds are trying to figure out why a US citizen was detained by CBP, why her phone was inside an ICE detention center tonight, and where she is now.

Also unclear what happened to the other five people she was detained with at O'Hare airport.

I just left a concert fundraising for the National Immigrant Justice Center to head to Broadview.

Here’s why:

We are currently outside the ICE Broadview concentration camp where Sunny Naqvi’s family believes her to be held after being detained in O’Hare by federal authorities.
