58 years ago the 🇬🇧 United Kingdom won ESC for the very first time as Sandie Shaw took victory in Vienna with “Puppet on a String”. A pre-colour broadcast meant viewers missed seeing the pink dress which was restored years later by the V&A 🩷
IMO Malta PBS knew the game they were playing, knew the risks, and knew it would be burned and be forced to change it. They're not clueless. They've got the publicity they wanted, now they pay the consequences. I'm pretty sure they'll have a backup option ready to go as the performative dust settles
Sometimes there aren’t enough words to appropriately describe someone, and that’s what I think of Gene Hackman. A titan of cinema with some of the most heavyweight & powerful film roles in history, what an actor he really was, amongst my all-time favourites.
