It does suggest that if there was an actual fire at the same time as the test everyone would simply burn to death because theyβd ignore the alarm.

Every Friday morning at 9.30 the business park I work in has a fire alarm test which lasts a couple of minutes and is deafening in our office. This morning, by a bizarre coincidence, it coincided with some on-site builders bursting a gas main which meant we all had to evacuate. What are the odds?
We're using 27" 2023 Apple Displays in the office at the moment and I've got to say they're pretty fantastic. We're looking around at others because we're buying some new kit for our homes but nothing seems quite as good, despite the hefty price point.
Holy shit! We were literally about to buy two new studio displays. Maybe we'll hold off for a week or twoβ¦
Itβll be a weird irony if, come the next general election, as many people vote Labour to keep the Greens out as vote Labour to keep Reform out. They might very well end up with another huge majority.
Look, Iβm just going to say it - I really enjoyed Jurassic World: Rebirth and whatβs more Iβve got a fantastic idea for a sequel that preserves the spirit but is a totally new spin, so if Gareth Edwards wants to get in touch Iβm happy to pitch it.
Live on the old Kickstarter - a cyberpunk murder mystery exploring the limits of human endurance in a digital dystopia much like our own. www.kickstarter.com/projects/f02... #comics #kickstarter
I bet the Reform guy gets invited onto TV to talk about why he lost more than the Green lady gets invited onto TV to talk about why she won.
Holy fuck, itβs like Inception.
Ahh, the very first gentle suggestions of spring and yes⦠yes, my ballistic hayfever has kicked in right on cue. Of course.
I love the Backrooms shorts that Kane Parsons has been putting on YouTube over the last few years. They're technically stunning, minimal and creepy as all hell. The fact A24 have brought him in to direct a movie of them is very exciting. The fact he's only 20(!) however, I find a personal affront.
I've been trying to post less about politics, just for my own sanity, but I just want to go on the record as saying this guy is a fucking idiot and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near power.
Simon Bisley rattles on while I try and get a question in edgeways! Great evening and possibly one of the most honest conversations I've had with The Biz. Thanks to Heritage Auctions and Joseph Melchior for arranging the evening. ππ
This is absolute gold
βLosing My Religionβwas released 35 years ago today. The lead single from Out Of Time earned multiple GRAMMY Awards, topped charts worldwide, and helped redefine what alternative rock could sound like on mainstream radio.

Ironically it's annoying me so much my blood pressure must be sky-high.
(For 'minor health concerns' read: over 50 and eats too many crisps.)
Due to some minor health concerns I've been fitted with a 24 hour blood pressure monitor and I'm walking about like I'm fricking Robocop. How I'm supposed to sleep with this thing on is anyone's guess.
In the words of Douglas Adams I think we all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. In fact even the trees were a bad move; no one should ever have left the oceans.
They've been saying that since they first put computers in the workplace and now look at us.
This definitely sounds like a healthy direction for society.
Does seem a silly time of year to be doing it.
Weird, there seems to be some sort of glowing orb in the sky and the air feels⦠dry? Surely this can only portend doom!
This looks like Silent Hill set in Balamory which is, frankly, a genius idea. Count me in! www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO-_...

I think itβs just an opportunity for you to draw your own cover on there.
So weird. Donβt think Iβve ever seen a printing error like that on a book before. Could be worth a bit of money for collectors!
Is the cover attached to the book the wrong way round? Looks like the deboss is on the outside.
That's probably fine as long as you didn't punch the air as you said it.
