This rant just sold me on this game.
Here I am, trying to enjoy the first day of my temporary layoff from a car related job...
... and the internet keeps showing me car commercials.
Ugh.
This show surprised me so much. I went in not expecting a whole lot but the pacing and overall arc of this story was amazing.
Plus, Ben Kingsley is amazing (though the whole cast really is).
Staring at another layoff notice today - at the very least, this one is seasonal and I'm guaranteed back in a few months... but a bit demotivating.
Hoping to find something else in the meantime and maybe have the side business of digital accessibility work pick up.
That damned amulet! (A damulet, if you will.)
I find shouting them into the void is often the best way to go about it.
I've often talked about how Arkham Horror The Card Game just feels like a TTRPG at times. The deck is the character sheet and you can get some real flavor out of the mechanics in it. It's something I've tried to see as inspiration for projects I'm poking.
Not gonna lie, I absolutely love white noise like this when I'm trying to focus on something. I have no clue why it helps so much.
I am so burned out from using my "customer service" phone voice this week. My throat just feels so strained - glad it's my Friday.
Abolish ICE
Push was genuinely one of the listed inspirations for a Mage the Awakening forum game I ran many years ago. One of a series of underrated movies from that time period.
The current phase for me has been the last ten years or so, it feels like.

I realized just now I've been at this company for four years as of last Wednesday. I spent basically 3 years of that not customer facing, which I think is the big difference. Now that I've changed programs and I'm back to customer facing, my anxiety about the job climbs.
I really need to find a replacement for my "day job." It invokes a level of anxiety I haven't felt in a long time.
Taurus: You will live like a king this year. Isolated, paranoid, never sure if anyoneβs affections are genuine.
Lobster fight meme but everyone, lobsters included, is labeled leftists
I see itβs that time of the month again
Every day, reading the news has become a "this is fine" moment.
Not having to go to DOS to run a game was life changing at the time, and with less hassle.
Bob Cratchett the Butcher and his merry streetrat gang of nativist bookkeepers, jolly and joyous as the Christian Lord guides their hand against your Roman Popery.
Gangs of New York (2002)
The Vatican Stole the Menorah and We're Going to Steal it Back, with a hand-drawn menorah. A silly, Dreidel-Powered rotating-DM trifold heist TTRPG by Jess Levine about reclaiming the Temple Menorah from the Vatican.
Just in time for Jewish Christmas, we have a new TTRPG π²: The Vatican Stole the Menorah and We're Going to Steal it Back!
TVSTMAWGTSIB is a dreidel-powered heist TTRPG about reclaiming the Temple menorah from the Vatican. Itchfunding a print run till Jan 1! π

I work in RSA as my day job and fully 3/4 of the vehicles we get calls for are of the 'way too big" variety.
They're not even very reliable. Why do people waste time and money on them?
It's a long one but a good one.
Coach Gowron is inspiration in an unexpected way.
Oh wow! How did I not recognize it as Descent? I played through all the campaigns at one point.
Thanks a ton for the answers! Always on the lookout for cool games to play.
May I request the names of the middle left and the bottom right games?
This game is so good, even as a single player experience.
Is this even a question?
